- How does Rapid Search pricing work?

Rapid Search uses a session-based pricing model. A session refers to a series of interactions between a user and your website within a specific period. You can find your actual session numbers under the Subscription menu. Please note: The number of searches performed does not affect pricing; we only track search numbers for statistical and analytical purposes.

- Can I try Rapid Search before subscribing?

When you install Rapid Search on your store, you will be able to use it for free for 14 days during our trial period.

- What happens when my trial ends?

If your store does not exceed 2,000 monthly sessions and your published products are less than 5,000, your plan automatically changes from trial to free. So there is no need to sign up for the free plan. If your store exceeds the limits of the free plan you need to sign up for the relevant paid plan or Rapid Search will be automatically disabled for your store.

- What happens if I exceed the plan’s monthly limit?

If you exceed the limits of your plan, Rapid Search will automatically temporarily be disabled in your store. At this point, you can either upgrade your plan to have more monthly sessions, or you can wait for the current monthly period to restart and reset your monthly session numbers. In the meantime, your default search engine will be restored in your store.

- Will I lose my trial days if I sign up for a paid plan earlier than my trial finishes?

No, you can subscribe any time, your subscription won't be active and you won't be charged till the end of your trial.

- Do I get access to all features when I sign up for a paid plan?

Yes, all of our plans include all features (free plan too) and an ROI guarantee.

- How is search revenue calculated?

Search revenue is the sum of those order totals, where the visitor has used the search at least once before placing the order.

- What does the term “session” mean?

Web sessions refer to the interactions between a user and a website or application during a specific period. When a user visits a website, a unique session ID is assigned, enabling the server to track and record the user's activities. These activities may include page views, clicks, searches, and other interactions that provide valuable insights into user behavior and preferences. You can think of a session as the container for the actions a user takes on your site.

- What does the term “search” mean?

A search begins when the visitor clicks on or opens the search box. At this point, Rapid Search recommends popular searches. A search is completed when the visitor clicks on a suggested keyword, collection, or product suggestion, or navigates to another page. For example, if a visitor clicks the search box, types “note,” and then clicks on the suggested "notebook" keyword, that counts as one search. The number of searches performed does not affect pricing; we only track search numbers for statistical and analytical purposes.

- Do my own searches count towards the monthly search limit?

The searches you do when you are signed in to your Shopify account are not considered in the Number of searches and do not count towards your plan’s monthly search limit. They are nevertheless recorded in the Search composition diagram of the Statistics menu as “Admin searches”.

- What is an admin search?

When you are signed in to your Shopify admin and you navigate to your storefront, you will see the Shopify logo in the bottom left corner; this is how you know that you are browsing your store as an admin. All the searches that you carry out when signed in to your Shopify admin are admin searches.

- Can you search in metafields?
Yes, we can search in metafields. This feature is disabled by default, but you can enable it by going to the Rapid Search Admin, Settings, Advanced menu, and setting a "search field weight" for the metafields. We can search in the following types of metafields: Single-line text (one value and list of values), multi-line text, and rich text).

- Can I add only the Rapid Search filters to my own theme without changing the design?

No, when you enable the Rapid Search result page or filters to your collection pages, the Rapid Search design will replace your theme's design. We have an open feature request and we look forward to investigating and developing this function. If you are interested in this feature, please visit the Rapid Search Admin > Feature requests tab and upvote and subscribe to the relevant feature request to get a notification when this option is added to the app.

In the meantime, you can customize the Rapid Search design within the limitations of custom CSS codes. You can add custom CSS codes in the Rapid Search Admin > Settings > Design menu > "Custom CSS" button.

- Do you have an Add to Cart button?
No, at the moment, an Add to Cart button is not available on our pages. We have, however, an open feature request for this option. If you'd like to get notified when an Add to Cart button is available in Rapid Search, please go to your Rapid Search Admin, Feature request tab, and subscribe to the relevant request.
